Here is a tutorial about how we went about making the first IR spray can. More due to be made up soon, let us know how your attempts go / any different techniques you use.
Materials used:
- Empty / used aerosol can [We used a Molotow art type]
- Some old / used aerosol caps [it took us a few attempts to hollow them out well]
- Infra-red LED [We used Maplins YH70M]
- Push-to-make switch [We used Maplins N01AR]
- The lid of a 35mm film cannister
- An empty vitamin-C tablet tube
- 1.5v AAA battery
- Some single-core electronic project wire
- Strong epoxy glue
- Soldering iron / solder and various tools / bits and bobs.
